tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27th in 1976) is a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is thought to be one of the greatest tight ends in the history of football. He holds the record of the NFL for receiving yards and receptions for a tight end. Additionally, he ranks third in total receptions. Gonzalez was drafted in the first round of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was part of their first 12-season with the team. In the five seasons that followed that he was with the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez has retired in 2013 but has been a football analyst at NFL on Prime Video. He was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez was well-known for his strength and ability to avoid fumbling. He appeared in 272 games during the regular season and only lost two fumbles and a total of 1,327 plays. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Gonzalez was inducted in the year 2019.
